Performance increases

To date, an increase in cocoa crop yield has been observed from an average of 300 kg/ha to 600 kg/ha.

Incomes diversification

The sale of other crops generates additional income that varies between 1,000 and 1,500 dollars per year.

No chemicals

Soil improvement and humus production saves between $300 and $1000 for no chemical use.

Paid trainning

Trained agricultural instructors also benefit from an additional salary of $475 per month.

What are the benefits for our planet?

Less deforestation

Successional agroforestry allows higher yields on the same surface, which reduces deforestation.

Biodiversity

Mixed cropping promotes biodiversity by attracting insects, which have a positive effect on pollination.

CO2 capture

In the agroforestry system, trees increase the balance and storage of water and capture CO2 in the wood and roots.

Soil health

Mixed cultivation and humus production improve soil quality and increase pH, which reduces the mobility of heavy metals.
